60. Inside Voice

Now that I'm sixty five
Am I going to age like a fine wine
Or wither like a vine leaf in winter time
Some say the genes decide
Kind of like a slow suicide
Not so says the still small voice inside
Biology will have its say
But not whether I age or rot
The choice is mine
To be the wine
Or a leaf fallen from the vine
